Locate the serial number on your vintage Cub Cadet tractor. Pre-1997 tractors have the serial number stamped on the chassis in front of the rear tires or printed on a sticker on the rear axle housing. The International Cub Cadet (original) was built by International Harvester from 1961 to 1963 in the Louisville, Kentucky, USA factory. Create a page (link) for an individual tractor by linking the reg or serial number using reg number or serial number in the relevant column. Then once saved click the red link to start the new page and add.

Straight-Shaft Trimmer
This heavier duty (brand dependent) unit is great for trimming and edging. Some models have the option of attaching a brush blade in place of the trimmer-line head. This circular-saw-like blade can cut through large grasses, vines and brush like a knife. Certain blades can actually cut down scrub trees up to 4' diameter. Use only blade kits specifically designed for the model and never, ever, attach metal cables or chains to the trimmer head. These will break-off in pieces and embed themselves deeply in whatever they strike!
